It is gently stimulating, calming, cleansing and strengthening.
It contains iron oxide, which is used medically to control excessive bleeding, and for this reason it is used for disorders of the blood and in reducing the tendency to haemorrhage.
Red jasper works slowly and should be kept as a constant companion.
It is associated with the Root Chakra.
